Original cloth-backed decorated paper over boards, lettered in black on front cover and spine (faded along top edge of boards, some minor wear at corners and edges, some very minor soiling).SIGNED by Headland on the title-page. Headland, a professor at Peking University, translated these rhymes he collected from two of the provinces in China. In doing so, he provided enormous insight into childhood, and even adult experiences in Chinese culture.
