SOLID BRASS ANTIQUE TELESCOPE. This very nice telescope is signed in script "J.P. Cutts Sutton & Sons - Opticians to Her Majesty - Sheffield & London". 4 draw solid brass telescope is 48" long fully extended and 13" closed. The leather covered barrel is painted blue with floral arrangements. Difficult to determine if the painting is of the period, how ever the overall surface has crackelure. Exceptional condition. John Preston Cutts & Son worked in 1851.
