AMERICAN WHALING HARPOON. Toggle harpoon of an American design. This harpoon was made in New Bedford by a blacksmith named McGowan during the mid 1900's and is fashioned after the classic American toggle harpoon. 28 1/2" long. Circa mid 20th C.
