LOT. 2 early compass cards. 1) Early card marked THAXTER MAKER HEAD OF LONG WHARF STATE ST. BOSTON" and is 6 1/4" in diameter. Housed in a custom box with paper label on top that reads in part "A Spare Compass card for the ship ---- Captain Hammond". 2) Another early compass card with a gimbal in the center for pivot point. 6 1/2" in diameter. Two very good compass cards.
