Description
Ptolemaic Period, 305-30 B.C. Polychrome cartonnage ensemble in two sections; upper section depicting a winged solar disk with uraei, disced falcon-head terminals and elaborate broad collar; lower section depicts a kneeling winged Nut with outstretched wings and hands grasping Maat feathers. Two of the four sons of Horus depicted on each side - Imsety in human form, protector of the liver and Duamutef in jackal form, protector of the stomach. Upper section measures 8" x 6-1/2"; Lower section measures 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". Custom mount.
