Greece, Corinth, ca. 600 BC. Very rare and quite fine Corinthian pottery bi-chrome cup, human face in relief emerging from front, typical red and dark brown pigmentation with confronting swans on each side, incised palmette between. 3-1/2"H.

Provenance: Ex-private USA collection acquired at Sotheby's London, Lot 373, Dec 13, 1982.
