Production Description: Helmet worn by a Horus guard, used in the production of Stargate SG-1. Horus guards protected Ra and his family, including Hathor and Heru'ur. This design was introduced in the 1994 Stargate feature film, and reappeared in the series starting with the SG-1 Season Two episode "Thor's Chariot". The complicated CGI involved in retracting the helmet into the collar precluded this action from being seen on screen, except for Season Two's "Secrets" and Season Eight's "Moebius, Part 1".
Technical Description: Production made armored falcon head. Mask is made of foam rubber with rubber fins behind head, clear resin eyes tinted red that light up by use of an on/off switch on the side, functionality is verified, mask has a long tail going down the back and a large eyehole under the falcon's head inside which is a plastic mesh, mask is painted bronze, silver, and metallic blue with a turquoise patina, the entire surface of the mask is decorated with etched Egyptian/Goa'uld lines and decorations, mask shows wear from age and production use, production marked "STUNT C" inside. Measures approx. 16.25in x 21.5in x 36in.
