Museum quality model of the Bath Iron works built steam yacht "Harvard". Harvard was designed by Charles Hanscom and built for George F. Baker Jr.. Launched in 1917, Harvard was known as one of the prettiest yachts of her day. The model has mahogany paneled cabins with turned brass portholes and brass doorknobs. Other brass fittings include stove pipe, winch, chocks, cleats, binnacle head, turnbuckles, skylight bars etc.. Five detailed launches hang from davits. Hull is painted creme above the waterline, deep red below and a gold bootstripe. Mounted into a free standing mahogany display case with raised panel table and marquetry inlay. Case dimensions 68" long x 21" wide x 66" high.
