Description

English, sterling model of the galleon "Mayflower" with dimensions 32 1/2" long x 11" wide x 27" high. Height includes pedestals but not the wooden base. The quality of the model is of the highest caliber. Hull details include hatches, gratings, gunports, capstans, cleats, anchors in stocks etc... A superbly crafted longboat with full detail is lashed to the deck. The rigging is complete and unabbreviated with all appropriate standing and running cords, detailed sails, crows nests, countless block and tackle, shrouds with deadeyes etc.. The model is mounted with pedestals onto a thick wood base and engraved nameplate on the base reads: "Mayflower AD 1620. Shreve, Crump & Low, Boston 1920" Weight - 329 and one half ounces of English sterling silver.
