Wallpaper-covered Hatbox, America, first half 19th century, the oval box depicting sailing ships and steam ships flying American flags surrounded by white scrolls and separated by nautical trophies made up of an anchor, rope, and flags in orange, white, and black against a blue field, (losses and wear), ht. 11 1/2, lg. 17 1/2, wd. 12 3/4 in.
