Description
elaborate octagonal roombox with Georgian and neo Classical embellishments such as columns, urns and balustrades all painted in rich warm yellow tones. The interior of the room has painted checkerboard pattern floor and walls festooned with with garlands of flowers, ribbons, fruit and bluebirds. The room is well appointed with beaded chandeliers, gold candlesticks, settee and chairs in neo classical style and marble topped bombe style chests. This whimsical room features 10 costumed bisque rabbit characters in various activities. A rabbit lady plays a hand painted harp with oriental motifs, while another sits at a pianoforte, both musical instruments hand painted by artist Natasha. Two lady rabbits sit and enjoy the music while 2 children bunnies dance. A well dressed gentleman rabbit sits at desk in a Shriner's cap painting eggs with various cups of egg dye at his feet, which are displayed on the Easter egg tree on his desk, while another gentleman looks on. This circa 1996 pavilion was created and built by Ann Hall Wauford with painting by by Janice M Brooks, rabbit figures by Mary Lambeth, Chandeliers by Charles C. Baker, chests and desk by Herbillon, harpsichord and harp painted by Natasha and some furniture by Charlotte Hunt
