Erzgebirge Hunting Lodge Set

in the original bentwood box we find a delightful and amazingly detailed two story hunting lodge with fenced porch, rear stairs to second floor, moss decorated roof, wood mullioned windows, and a balcony displaying a deer's head hunting trophy; 7 sections of wall and a gate create an enclosed yard for the lodge whose master is present in painted gesso over wood, smartly outfitted in green and brown with cap and game bag - he holds a soft metal long gun with leather strap; wildlife includes 11 flocked paper mache deer including 6 bucks with painted metal antlers along with does and fawns - all in realistic attitudes, also we find 3 foxes and 2 rabbits, foliage includes 8 tall poplars and 2 small seedlings; this is an exceedingly rare 19th century play set in surprisingly original condition
