ARISTARKH LENTULOV (RUSSIAN 1882-1943), "Avtoportret s naturschitsami" (Self-Portrait with Artist's Models), 1917, oil on canvas, 39.5 x 44 cm (15 1/2 x 17 3/8 in.), signed lower right in Cyrillic. This painting is accompanied with a signed letter of expertise, dated August 4, 2005, from S.G. Djafarova, author of a monograph and noted expert on the work of Lentulov, and will be including in her forthcoming catalog raisonne on the artist. A copy of the expertise is available by request.
