SET OF SIX ENGLISH CHIPPENDALE DINING CHAIRS. Mahogany with an old refinishing. Three are mortised and pegged at the joints and the rest are not pegged and most likely made to match in the 19th Century. Square legs have chamfered backs. Slip seats are covered with contemporary upholstery in gold and white with hunting dogs, horns, trees, etc. Tapered stiles with pierced back splats. Restored splits on some of the backs and one leg is split. Seats 18"h., 35"h. overall.
