
AN 1886 B.F. GLEASON EMBALMING TABLE & BOTTLES
Description
Folding plywood table with perforated patterns and lettering - to allow free draining of fluids, metal hinge in the center, turned wooden legs, pull-out end cross posts. Perforation pattern reads 'B.F. Gleason, Brockport, NY, April 12, 1881, Sept 7, 1886.' Measures 24.5 x 72 x 18.5 inches when set up, not including the adjustable end posts. Also includes three embalming fluid bottles; on marked 'Esco Distinctive Embalming, measures 8 inches high and has paper labels on sides. A clear bottle with raised lettering 'Undertakers' Supply Co.,' 7.75 inches high; and a large, light blue bottle with raised lettering 'The Max Huncke Chemical Co., measures 11 inches high.
Condition
Average condition. Some veneer loss, crazing and patina. Great old example. Bottles show some wear and a few chips around rims.
