Kotvald, "cFVU" stamp and label on the reverse, framed, glass Ferdinand Kotvald is a 20th Century Czech painter, born in 1898 in Vyskov na Hane, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now Czechia. Kotvald focused mainly on landscape painting and was artistically influenced by the work of van Gogh and Oskar Kokoschka. Landscapes and floral still lifes represent a significant part of his work. His work is included in the collection of the City Gallery Prague and the National Bank in Prague.
