Zachar, published in author's monograph "Ludvik Kuba", page 130, framed, mount, glass Ludvik Kuba is a 19th/20th Century Czech painter, musician, writer and folklorist, born in 1863 in Podebrady, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now Czechia.
He studied first at the private art school of Karel Liebscher and then, later, at the Academy of Arts, Architecture & design in Prague (under professor M. Pirner). From 1904, Kuba lived and worked in Vienna. He was influenced by folk art and created impressionist landscapes, portraits and still lifes.
