New Kingdom, ca. 1500 BC. Linen and plaster / gesso mask, finely-decorated; wig painted with a lotus blossom and flesh tone face with almond shaped eyes in white and black pigment outlines the pupils and brows; the wig painted as bejeweled. 14-1/2"H (36 cm), custom mounted.
PROVENANCE: Ex-private collection of Mrs. Elias-Vaes, Rotterdam, NL. Acquired in the 1960s or early 1970s.
