Marks: 0. 15 ½".Pressed bisque socket head, very large amber brown paperweight eyes in wide eye sockets referred to as "wrap-around", thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, closed mouth with shaded and outlined pale lips, pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, slightly-cupped fingers, pale pink cotton dress, fancy shirred-brim bonnet, white leather boots. Commentary: Emile Jumeau's earliest period bebe with portrait-modelling enhanced by palest bisque, softly painted facial features; early, original body; overall, an exceptional beauty, originally designed for the luxury market; excellent condition.
