A World War II Scale Model of a US Naval Cannon,

A 15 inch smooth bore stepped round barrel over a pair of recoil cylinders. It has a functioning hand wheel elevation that will elevate from horizontal to vertical and a traversing hand wheel that will rotate the entire canon on its base three hundred and sixty degrees. The base is approx. 5" diameter of solid machined steel. The left side of the canon has a functioning azimuth indicator. The barrel diameter is inner: 3/8" and outer: 7/9". The cartridge door is connected to a lever which when closed engages a machined screw like locking mechanism with a spring action firing pin. There are no identifying marks on the cannon. Height: 6.5ins x width: 17 ins.

Note condition: areas of minor surface wear and paint loss. One of the handles on the lower rotating wheel needs to be re-soldered. The cannon is mounted on a mahogany base.
