Rare bottle of vatted scotch whiskey by J&G Stewart's of Edinburgh with additional label reading "From the cellar of J. Pierpont Morgan 1837 - 1913. A souvenir to his friends, 1915". The label mentions AD 1779 (the founding year of the company) it also states "J&G S gained the highest and only award for their national exhibit of pure malt whiskies". Fitted with original cork. This is such an interesting piece of JP Morgan history. Logically, this bottle of scotch was presented out of respect to one of JP Morgan's friends by his son J. Pierpont Morgan, Jr. to commemorate his father's legacy. There is some paper loss and wear to the label. Some loss to the cork, and some evaporation to the contents. 12" tall x 3" wide.
