Engraving of "The Armada in Sight" after Royal Acadamet Artist Seymour Lucas painting "The Famous Game of Bowl's, Plymouth Hoe 10th July 1588. The original painting hangs in the art gallery of New South Wales, Synney Australia. The print is engraved by Paul Giradet. The scene represents the legendary scene of Sir Francis Drake refusing to set out to defend England against the Spanish Armada until he finished his game of bowls. He proclaimed, "First We Finish the Game, Then we'll Deal with the Armada!". Framed in dark wood frame with gold fillet. 27" x 36" on sight. 35" x 44" overall. Condition - some spotting.,
