LOCKHEED L-500 GALAXY 1/150 SCALE MODEL BY VERKUYL Promotional scale model aircraft model by Maarten Matthys Verkuyl. Constructed in the Netherlands in the 1960s, most likely before the actual production of the Galaxy in 1968. Wing span of 18 inches and comes in it's original box. Maarten Matthijs (Thijs) Verkuyl, Verkuyl was born in 1920 and was an active model designer/constructor from the 1940s until the early 1990s, when the company he was working for (IMC) experienced financial difficulties and had to shut down business in 1992. .
