c. 1877, United States of America 38-Star flag, Choice Very Fine.
13.5” x 23”, red and blue ink printed on off-white cotton fabric. The thirty-eight star flag was official adopted by the United States on July 4th, 1877. The 38th star was added for the admission of Colorado on August 1st, 1876, and was to last for 13 years. There are minor internal splits and a small portion of the upper right hand corner is tattered; however, the overall quality is very nice.
