Description
Trent's Last Case collection of (50+) vintage stills from the personal archive of Howard Hawks. (Fox Film Corp., 1929) One of the final Hollywood silent films, apparently due to a rights issue which caused director Howard Hawks to "have a little fun" with its production, having legendary silent comedian Raymond Griffith play the written-as-serious lead as a comedy. Midway through a 1970's screening of this previously lost film, Hawks stormed the projection booth, demanding destruction of the print, in much the same manner as Stanley Kubrick did for decades concerning his Fear and Desire. From Hawks' personal archive comes this collection of (50+) vintage silver-bromide double-weight custom 8" x 10" matte prints in what may be the only extant reference to this otherwise forgotten film.
