Item Details
Description
Chimpanzee Bank -Made by Kyser & Rex Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Circa 1882 The Chimpanzee Bank is one of those beautifully detailed and brightly colored banks that only rarely turns up in the marketplace. And when it does, it is typically found in repaired condition owing to the extremely fragile fretwork that makes up the church-like structure that he sits in. When you put a coin in the Chimpanzee Bank, a bell rings and the monkey carefully records your deposit in his ledger book. Material: Cast iron and a gold stained window insert.
Condition
Outstanding paintwork. Hairline in roof fretwork.
