Canadian-born American evangelist who founded the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (1927) and was known for her flamboyant preaching and extravagant religious services. Her illustrated book This is That, 791pp, 6"x9¼", Echo Park Evangelistic Association, Inc. Los Angeles, 1923. First Edition. Boldly signed on first flyleaf beneath lengthy inscription to Paul A. Stanhope penned in violet ink, "With sincerest regards & an earnest prayer that this true story of Gods Love may prove a blessing..." Internal general light toning; slightly starting; light wear at spine edges; else in very nice condition. Several vintage clipped newspaper articles regarding the evangelist have been tipped to last flyleaf and extend slightly beyond page width. Est: $400-600
