142. [FRENCH PLAYING CARDS] Unique deck of 52 brightly colored playing cards, 2"x3¼" each, by Le Bourgeois, Ft., 20R, De Le Banque, Paris, ca. 1930s. Larger in size than all other decks known by this company and produced later than all others by this maker between 1870-80. Earlier cards are 2¼"x3" in size; the Kings, Queens and Jacks are produced in color and display a pink back and gilt edge. The difference in these cards being the slightly larger size. The Playing Card Museum of Ohio has examined this deck and has never seen another deck like this one. In excellent condition. A rare find from the Le Bourgeois maker. Est: $1000-1200
