Dale Chihuly (b. 1941) Five-Piece Seaforms Set
each of finely blown cobalt glass with metallic flakes, amber and red speckles with a vibrant red rimmed edge. The smallest piece being script-etch signed "Chihuly 93." Multiple design possibilities with the arrangement. Main bowl: 10.5 x 23 x 19 in.; interior bowls: 5.25 x 11 in., 6.25 x 8.5 x 7 in., 4 x 5.5 in., 6.5 x 6 in.
Chihuly began his series Seaforms in the 1980s - present. This glass series is based on the naturally forming organic shapes found in the living creatures and plant-life of the ocean. One of the most renowned glass blowers of our time, Chihuly has a world-wide exhibition history.
