736. GEORGES BRAQUE (1882-1963). French painter and leading exponent of cubist sytle, which he evolved together with Picasso. Having been wounded during World War I, he afterward developed a more personal style characterized by vivid color and textured surfaces. Signed lithograph entitled Birds IV in vivid blue, black and gray. Signed "G Braque" in bold pencil at bottom border. From Verve, Teriade Edition, Mourlot, Paris, 1955. Overall 10¼"x14".
