747. FRANK STELLA (b. 1936). American painter influencing development of minimalist art. His abstracts are characterized by geometric forms and brilliant colors. In the late '70s he began to evolve a return to expressionism marked by three-dimensional elaborations of the painted surface. Superb signed "Support the Arts" poster of his work Libertinia from his Imaginary Places series. This vivid aquatint lithograph is signed "F. Stella '95" beneath image. Fine example. Est: $100-150
