748. ANDY WARHOL (1928-87). American painter and filmmaker, leader of the pop art movement whose use of repetition and unnatural color were characteristic of his work, as was his subject matter. Poster of his profile portrait of celebrated Navajo artist R. C. Gorman, approx 10½"x12", with facsimile autograph at bottom border. Attractively matted above his signature, 4½"x2¼". Present also is an FDC with attractive American Indian commemorative cachet and colorful stamp featuring portrait of Chief Joseph postmarked at Washington, Nov 4, 1968. Boldly signed by R. C.
