781. IGOR STRAVINSKY (1882-1971). Russian composer of ballets, chamber music and other orchestral works. AES "I. Stravinsky," 1p, 4to, n.p., Mar 9, 1958. In margin above letter text, Stravinsky writes four lines to his attorney, Arnold Weissberger in NY, 13 words total, instructing him to obtain payment owed. Boldly penned and signed in red ink on typed copy letter from Weissberger to the Paris-headquartered organization Cuadernos. Beneath letter is added a brief TLS from Weissberger to Stravinsky's friend and protégé, conductor Robert Craft. The original letter concerns a payment from Cuadernos to Craft. Weissberger's letter refers to that matter and discusses a television interview in which both Stravinsky and Craft appeared. Accompanied by a photocopied Letter, Oct 22, 1957, from Cuadernos to Columbia Records discussing payment for an interview with Stravinsky and Craft published in its journal. Fine. Est: $450-550
