Note: Guo Ziyi (697 – 781) during the Tang Dynasty thought to be one of the greatest generals in Chinese history After his death, he was immortalized in Chinese mythology as the God of Richness and Happiness. - Triple border – outside border design includes chrysanthemums and mythical flying beasts, large middle border panels – all twelve unique natural mountain scenes across the top including tiny human figures with natural themes across the bottom, inside border design are chiefly floral and natural but include more tiny human figures (not included in the count above), Panels 1 and 12 on the Front side include highly detailed and stylized 4 toed dragon and other mythical beasts denoting high level importance and possible nobility. Back Side Themes: Dignitary within center structural element amidst magical spirits and mythical beings and natural forces such a the crane and doe.
