Born in 1972, Risa Wada is an emerging Malaysian-based artist with a Japanese spouse. She graduated with a certificate in Fashion Design from Eric's Fashion School, Penang in 1991. Upon graduation, Wada worked in an investment bank for 18 years but quitted her job to pursue her childhood dream as an artist.

Wada's initial art inspiration came from her cat Toro as he often stares at cacti. Wondering how Toro sees the world, she imagines how the plant spirits would look like and starts to combine two aspects of life in her works: Mother Nature & Human Emotions.

Wada held her first solo exhibition "Yasuragi - Repose" in Younie Gallery, Kuala Lumpur (2019). In 2020, she exhibited at the SEKAKI International Art Group Show organised by KL City Art Gallery. Wada is also active in international art fairs including "Art Asia@KL 2018 Hotel Art Expo", Palace of the Golden Horses, Kuala Lumpur; "Art Asia@KL 2019 Asian Warisan Fair", Matrade Exhibition & Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur; and "Shanghai International Art Fair 2nd Ed", Shanghai (2020).

生于1972年的莉沙和田是一位正在崛起的马来西亚艺术家，丈夫为日裔。她专注于现代艺术，作品多为创意联翩的平面压克力画作。1991年，她从艾瑞克时装学院毕业并荣获服装设计文凭。毕业后，她任职于投资银行长达18年后选择辞职，以重新燃烧孩儿时期成为艺术家的梦想。

和田最初的创作灵感来自于她的爱猫Toro。她发现Toro总是长时间地凝视着仙人掌们，开始好奇猫咪眼中看到的世界，并幻想植物的灵魂是什么模样。从此，和田开始用七彩万花筒的视角观察世界，在画作中把大自然与人的情感结合在一起。

和田的第一场个人展览 “YASURAGI 恬静” 在吉隆坡颜丽轩画廊举行（2019）。2020年，她参与了吉隆坡 KL City Gallery 举办的 “SEKAKI International Art Group Show”。和田积极地参与各种国际艺术博览会，包括：2018年吉隆坡亚洲艺术酒店艺术博览会，吉隆坡金马皇宫酒店、2019年亚洲吉隆坡古玩艺术收藏博览会，吉隆坡MATRADE会展中心，以及2020年第二届上海国际艺术博览会，中国。
