The first, Minai ware, depicting a procession of equestrian figures gilt and painted in cobalt blue, green, Pompeian red, ochre and black on a cream-colored ground; the second, incised with a circular motif and painted in iron-brown on a cream-colored ground. Each restored.
Diameter of the first: 11-1/2 in (29.2 cm)

Minai bowl: Heavy restorations, probably by different hands; lower part of bowl with loss of some flakes or pieces at repaired area; some rim chips; limited areas of repainting, specifically the gilt highlights, and possibly one rider of blue horse as pigment is comparatively deeper; usual wear to painted decoration. Smaller bowl: Repaired break, visible with naked eye; wear to painted decoration.
