The Doors Unreleased Original Studio Recordings. A fantastic find, this set of nine eight-track reel-to-reel tapes features six hours of studio recordings by the influential band. Contents includes five different takes of "When the Music's Over", featuring different lyrics as well as Jim Morrison on harmonica; several great takes of "Queen of the Highway" that reveal the band's creative processes at work as the music and lyrics evolve over radically different approaches to the song; hair-raising performances by Morrison on "Not to Touch the Earth"; unreleased tracks "I Will Never Be Untrue" and "Motor Cooled Down"; plenty of studio banter; and more. Also included is a reel featuring an interview with an unspecified person, and a blank reel.
These are original master tapes -- not safety copies -- with studio-quality sound, and no other copies exist except for nine CDs of digital transfers that go to the winning bidder. Requires third party shipping.
