Continental Cameo Mounted Gilt and Velvet Jewel Casket. Oval hinged top mounted with large cameo (4 1/4" x 3 1/4") depicting boy fishing with dog, the exterior with four panels mounted with six cameos depicting various scenes of figures in eighteenth century dress (five women, one gentleman) mounted on a sapphire blue velvet ground (major deterioration), within a beaded surround, the interior lined in same velvet (detached and loss). H: 4 1/2"; L: 7 1/2"; D: 5 1/4".
