IMMENSE SANDSTONE CARVING BY POPEYE REED. American Indian chief wearing a full headdress with engraved band and medallions. His shirt is held by a knotted belt and he holds a tomahawk in his hand. A small animal, probably a bear, is standing upright between the chief's feet. 78"h. The chief was stationed on two blocks of sandstone. One is marked "Carved for Dr. Kemp by E. Reed 1971 AD". Average size of blocks is 30"w. 14"d. 16"h.
