Description
Roger McGuinn's famous Regal 12 string guitar. The guitar is a Regal 12-string acoustic authenticated by Vintage guitar expert George Gruhn and Alvin "Youngblood" Hart. Originally give to Hoyt Axton (Singer songwriter) in 1957 McGuinn once lodged with Axton and would open for him in his early career. The guitar was left to Axton in lieu of rent. Axton then gave the guitar to the current vendor, and another promising guitarist. In 1977 the vendor met McGuinn backstage at a concert at the Starwood club in West Hollywood where she recounted the story of the guitar. They had previously met before when she performed with Axton. McGuinn confirmed that he was pleased that she now owned the guitar.
