Baranger Motion Display - Honeymoon Express These colorful animated window displays were made by the Baranger Studios in So. Pasadena, CA, with their most productive period commencing after WW II. The displays were rented to small town jewelry stores as attention getting devices for use in window displays throughout the 1940's, '50's, and '60's; generally crafted with highly detailed comical looking characters and amusing animation they definately caught the passerby's eye. They are made of various materials, the figures are cast aluminum - other components could be wood or tin. Each of these motions are offered in their original reinforced cardboard shipping containers.The "Honeymoon Express" is drawn by "Old Ironsides" - the wheels turn as the train rocks side to side, the man in front rings a bell as the honeymooners smooch in the tender, 21" w., 12" t., 12 " d, very good to excellent (some paint chipping esp. toengine dome and smokestack; driver missing piece of hat brim)
