Three Cased Daguerreotypes of Daguerreotypes
the first a quarter plate depicting a matron's image within an oval frame, the lid's pad embossed by Salem, Massachusetts daguerreian William Snell. Spotting to the mat, lid detached; the second a sixth plate of an elderly woman's portrait behind an octagonal mat in a book-style case also containing an image from life of an attractive young woman. Spotting to both mats and wear to the case; the third a ninth plate showing the daguerreotype of two men, possibly brothers, behind a plain arched mat. Case lid detached.
