A gold and vermeil silver cane with a pink topaz. The cylindrical handle is 2 2/3" high and 7/8" at its widest. On the top, there is a 1/2" faceted pink topaz set in a bezel. Below that is a ring of bright saw-tooth silver for a color contrast. The matte gold stem of the handle is overlaid with chains of vermeil acanthus leaves. There is a small English hallmark indicating that the gold is double-plated. The shaft is ebony with a 1" replaced brass ferrule. The overall length is 36 1/4" and the condition is very good. It is 20th Century, and it is a lovely decorative example. Estimate: $700-$900.
