$10 bank note dated 1875 from the First National Bank of Chattanooga, Tennessee, depicting a vignette of Benjamin Franklin conducting the kite experiment with his son William, June 1752, left, with a vignette of America seizing lighting from the skies, right, obverse. Vignette depicting Hernando de Soto discovering the Mississippi engraved by Frederick Girsch (New York, 1821-1895) after a painting by William H. Powell (New York/Ohio, 1823-1879), reverse.
