Peter Vilhelm Ilsted (Denmark, 1861-1933) 1st item: mezzotint on paper titled "Two Girls in a Doorway" depicting two women in a darkened room, one seated and playing a lute, one standing in a doorway wrapped in a dark red shawl. Numbered "50/17" in pencil, lower left under image, signed "Peter Ilsted" in pencil, lower right under image. Label with artist's name, en verso. Housed under glass in a contemporary wooden frame. Image - 15 1/2" x 12 3/4" W. Sight - 16 1/2" H x 13 3/4" W. Framed - 24 5/8" H x 21 1/2" W. 2nd item: mezzotint on paper titled "Woman Reading" depicting a woman reading at a desk, her back turned. Numbered "125/53" in pencil, lower left under image, signed "Peter Ilsted" in pencil, lower right under image. Label with artist's name, en verso. Housed under glass in a contemporary wooden frame.
