Description

Swiss interchangable 17" cylinder 8-tune music box by George Baker Troll and Company, Geneva. Rosewood and burlwood case with ebonized trim. Underside of lid with the original tune card reading "Baker-Troll & Company/Manufactured in Geneva" with a list of the eight music selections and serial #14129. Metal plaque also present indicating the manufacturer. Fitted with a nickel plated comb and a lever winding mechanism, lever additionally marked with the serial number and "17". Box equipped for coin operation, fully functional. 9" H x 32 1/2" W x 13" D. Late 19th century. Provenance: Montgomery, Alabama estate. Overall very good condition. All teeth present to comb. Mechanism appears to be fully functional.
