Description
Group of three (3) North Carolina salt glazed stoneware items including 2 pitchers possibly turned by Rance Steed and 1 vase form pot. Pots range in size from 8 3/4" H to 10 3/4" H. All pieces late 19th/early 20th century. Note: Seagrove potter Rance Steed was a potter of mixed race who turned for potteries in and around Randolph & Montgomery Counties in the early 20th century. He was born Ransom Steed, sometime between 1854 and 1864, and died in Seagrove in 1933.
Condition
One pitcher with flaring rim with chipping to rim and a couple of hairline cracks. Remaining pieces overall good condition.
