Description
1st item: American mid 19th century sterling silver mug or cup with double c-scroll handle with spur, having landscape scene and decorative cartouche with inscription reading "Nannie Buford/From/Grand Ma N.B.M" with body with beaded trim to rim and slightly stepped base. "D" mark to underside of base. Unmarked but tests sterling. 4" H x 4 1/2" W. 5.125 total troy ounces. Circa 1860s. 2nd item: Coin or sterling silver round fluted dish, incuse partial mark "E.W. CAR----". 6 1/4" dia. 6.54 total troy ounces. Combined weight: 11.665 total troy ounces. Provenance: The Estate of Cora Jane Spiller, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Condition
Overall good condition with normal surface wear, few minor dents. Minute repair to rim above inscription.
