PHANTASMAGORIA OF FUN, Vol. I-II, edited and illustrated by Alfred Crowquill, published by Richard Bentley, London, 1843. Hardcover octavos, 604 gilt top edged pages with illustrations, rebound in three-quarter red leather with marbled-paper sides, gilt lettering and gilt blind stamping to spines, five raised hubs, red grosgrain ribbon book marks, marbled end papers. Ex libris plates to interior of front covers, original spines pasted to back end papers. Approximately 8 1/8" H x 5 1/4" x 1" D. Provenance: The Estate of Edith (Edie) M. Bass, Nashville, Tennessee, by descent from her parents, Walter Paul McBride and Claire Childs of Lake Forest, Illinois.
Condition
Cover in overall good condition with light rubbing/staining to leather, corners bumped. Pages in overall good condition with toning.
