Description
Pair of Shenandoah Valley, Virginia cast iron figural andirons, possibly from the Redwell Furnace located near Luray (which operated under various names until at least 1840). Finials cast in the form of men's heads, over architectural column style shafts and cabriole legs. 13-1/2" H x 13 5/8" D. Condition
Overall expected oxidation. One with replaced shank.
